That sounds reasonable. I'm switching too; I've ordered N. Maybe taking N plus waiting in the sling is worth a thought. Until now I wasn't able to get unconscious after all attempts. Quite sad. Wishing you the best!

Thank you, good luck! I have not enough money to do N but I hope SN would be as much efficient and painless. At least better than partial, since I never managed to pass out.

I tried partial with the rope under my Adam's apple, I felt dizzy and tinglnig in arms very quickly. I stopped because the rope was not well tightened to the window knob - I only aimed to do a test run. is that what we call the sweet spot? I'm alone today and that would be a great deal to end it by now.

That's where the tingling starts in my case too. It confused me, because it was often told to be above the adams apple. But I guess if it makes your vision blurry and a little deaf for the moment it's definitely worth practicing around that spot.

Just compress the carotid artery, release the half the weight of your body as pressure and gently hang. If done right, the tingling should approach rather quickly.
Once it happens, pull the full weight and you should be good.

Yes, I was exactly told the same thing: hang above the Adam's apple. But when I explained in this thread how shitty was my experience above. I'd be glad to collect more advice on this fact.

This hole hanging this is an absolute pain in the ass!! I only got lucky the other day trying to see if my toes would touch the ground. I was definitely at the peaceful spot I could feel it I could feel myself drifting away like when your about to go asleep you that comfortable feeling all snug. But I didn't have the belt tied to other anything i using my hands over a beam in my loft. If it had have bin tied an secured I'd be looking down at all you now. After serval attempts since then I cant find it anymore grrrrrr

Its definitely the closest I have gotten I was almost close a few weeks back. But this one omg I couldn't believe the peace. No chocking no head rush no noting I took in nice an slow breaths reminding myself its okay. Its a pitty it was just a trial run with it not tied an secured. I hope I find that spot again I really really do but I think breathing has major role in this? take small breaths nice an calm wheres before I'd be breathing like crazy not chocking just breathing heavy an heart rate going nuts not nice. thats how I found the spots easy an calm. Definitely third time is a charm as they say anything

Yeah sounds appealing, I'm stuck on method at the minute myself but maybe looking at NN or charcoal.. I'm not in any rush at the minute, as much as my life is shite and pointless I do want to try experience some sort of positives before I catch the bus if there's anything left out there

I without doubt found the spot, but how hard is it to overcome SI! Without even hyperventilating it takes only ten seconds tofeel dizzy, tingling in fingers, light in eyes and ears warm and death, but I panic in the following seconds and cannot manage to surrender. I yet feel that less than ten more seconds would be enough to pass out. I may try to get some dutch courage to overcome that issue.

Could you hear whooshes of blood in your ear?

I did it yesterday and I could hear blood struggling to get through. Then started breathing heavily, think I was close

How long did that take? I've seen blood chokes on MMA and people are out like a light in seconds

Couple of seconds. No pain in head. Slip knot above right ear, rope pulling up from right, think this helps

I sat down into it fast with extension cord

No, it did that when I had tests run putting the rope above my Adam's apple, but I've no more problem of this type now I put it underneath.

Random idea: finding autoerotic asphyxiation or asphyxiation games info in order to adapt it to an efficient hanging. Maybe are there some intetesting dedicated boards?

I read on this forum that someone tried hyperventilating while partial hanging, and they woke up panicking. It's important to make sure you have the rope around your neck correctly, otherwise your survival instinct will just wake you up.

The idea of hyperventilation before partial hanging is a pretty ingenious idea. Theoretically you could faint and then fall into the rope. The hardest part is adjusting the length of the rope just right so you can squat down.

So you've given up on hanging? If SI is the obstacle, do you think it will be easier with SN?

Yup, I've tried several times to play with hyperventilation and my sweet spot but I panic. I never actually tried to ctb by this method sinve I discovered my sweet spot.

I don't know whether it would be easier to overcome SI with SN but I plan to meet with my SS friens to ctb together by this method. She already has her stuff and it would be a good step for me to get mine. We don't live on the same continent so the one who will move may not be able to bring their SN and meto.

I'm anyway on the edge and I think I could hang myself at the next straw.
