Overdosing or cutting?

I know they often don't work but I was wondering if you took a lot of something and cut very deep would it? Especially if no one found you for a long time or you couldn't call for help. I've tried both separately but never did it enough as I was scared. I tried jumping too and just ended up with ptsd and chronic pain so I don't know what else to do. Has anyone tried hanging? I can't get access to SN or a gun.

I went to a cliff at nighttime and it was 300ft so I thought its definitely going to work. Because it was pitch black I couldn't see where I jumped there was a ledge about 25ft down so I landed on that, if I had jumped a few feet across I wouldn't have survived it's kind of crazy. I broke my back and ankle and have very bad ptsd so I wouldn't be able to try that again. What happened when you tried to hang?

That's WILD. I'm so sorry you survived after such an attempt. I hope you are able to find peace soon. Hanging is so straightforward in theory (cut off the carotids, black out in 10s, never wake up) but its actual execution proves to be a struggle. SO many people have succeeded in hanging, though. It's always a possible way to go

Thank you. Definitely, haha I'd probably fail that too! I have no idea about where I'd do it if I did, hanging is just difficult as someone had to find you like that but then I guess all of the others are too!

you'll just end up injured inside out, the SI with cutting is crazy too. Bleeding to death is long and painful, definitely not the way to go.

im so sorry about your failed attempt dude i cant imagine having to go through that

im currently kinda considering cutting because i have a very limited access to methods, arteries dont stop bleeding on their own so if you dont call for help and arent found by someone too early you should die if you hit one. but missing an artery or not cutting deep enough would be a big problem cause youd end up just painfully injuring yourself

That's the only reason I'm considering it too. I've done it a lot before and once very deep but still not deep enough to kill me and that was extremely painful. Artery's are quite hard to find too so it's really a last resort especially as I wouldn't want to end up with that huge cut for nothing.

I hanged myself in total suspension in the tree of my house. I lost consciousness for about 5 minutes. Then I "woke up" and the IF was activated. I cut the rope from my neck and went to my room to sleep. I had a long red mark on my body. I found it difficult to swallow.

I'm so sorry you went through that, that sounds horrific. It was very traumatic, I was screaming for a while but kept blacking out and had to like drag myself across the ground to try find my bag and get my phone. I broke my back so it was very painful but I thing my adrenaline kicked it. I called the police but my phone was on 1% so I messaged my partner telling him where I was and luckily I did as my phone ran out before police answered. He came and called the police.

I probably would have haha, people go there a lot and in the morning someone would have found me id just be in a lot more pain!
