I do not think hunger can overcome SI. It is reported that intoxicants or sedatives can suppress them.long enough to get the job done.

In an ideal world, nobody would have to attempt ctb by hanging at all, we would all be able to exit peacefully. I just think that it's horrifying how people have to resort to methods like hanging in the first place. Such a cruel, unfair existence and it shouldn't be this difficult to leave. The main reason as to why I have never attempted is the fear of failure, hanging does sound quite risky.
