Hello to everyone here, and much love from the East coast (US).

I ordered a bottle of SN today, from Amazon. It cost under $20.00 (total cost $15.70 w/shipping) and has already shipped; estimated arrival on or before 1/28/2020.

In my medicine cupboard aka home pharmacy, I came across an unfinished prescription of Haldol (5mg tablets). I also have a valid prescription for Amitriptyline (10mg tablets). I take an antiemetic as I experience extreme nausea regularly due to TBI's and anxiety, however the antiemetic is Ondansetron (4mg tablets).

I've read the SN megathread/resource, many times actually, and I've researched the suicide Wiki. I'm confident I can successfully end my life with this method, though I have a bit of confusion and a couple of questions regarding the antiemetic aspect. I plan to go via the stat dose.

Anyhow, Ondansetron isn't listed as a proper antiemetic in all the reading I've done. As I understand it though, Haldol and/or Amitriptyline can be used as a substitute? If this is correct, what dosage would I use for either Haldol or Amitriptyline? I'm more inclined to use the Amitriptyline, as Haldol suuuuucks. Or should I just take a mega dose of Ondansetron and hope it works?

Regarding taking a Benzodiazepine, what's the timing on that ie should I take them an hour before? I'm prescribed Klonopin (1.5mg).

If anyone can help, please do ❤

Hi buddy.

Actually, there is not a "supreme Antiemetic" to be used. But I know that people which are induced in coma receives 20mg meto + 8-24mg ondansetron 1h before the coma.
People barelly talk about this fact here on SS, but If you research it out, it's actually true.
When I try ctb, I will be definitly using both.

I can't say about Haldol/Amitriptyline being a substitute, so, I'm sorry.
Wishing the best for you.

In the Peaceful Pill Handbook Ondansetron is listed as a very effective anti-emetic.

No

Benzodiazepine, what's the timing
Try on empty stomach & time it

These questions have been asked several times :) Read Benzo,AE FAQ . Of course first Stan Guide .

~ ~

Benzo (Klonopin ok).
  • Benzos effects vary greatly:
    • Potency, tolerance, onset (how quick), duration (how long) change.
    • Some affect in 10m, others 1h, this changes individually
  • Taken too soon – may fall asleep
  • Test beforehand
Which benzo?
Is benzo X good?
How much to take?
What if I have tolerance?
Can't answer that, there are dozens.
  • Anything that affects you more than 4h.
    • Check personally
    • Tolerance – take a bit more than usual

Haloperidol:

What are "The 13 Antipsychotics"?Replace AE – ONLY if part of your regular health treatment.
Do not take a single dose; Do not change prescribed dosage.
  • Personally-tailored – dosage varies greatly between individuals
  • If used regularly they replace AE – use Stat directions (without meto).

Ondansetron:

What they do:
  • Move SN quick to intestine – fatal
  • Reduce vomiting
Will any antiemetic work?NO. Guide provides 6 AEs – only use those.
  • Must target dopamine (Domperidone, Prochlorperazine)
  • Preferably serotonin as well (Metoclopramide)
Will X work as AE?NO. Don't use as antiemetics –
  • Ondansetron/Zofran
  • Diphenhydramine/Benadryl
  • Dimenhydrinate/Dramamine
Serotonin or Histamine only not effective. Don't promote gastric emptying.

I get my SN tomorrow and don't have access to a proper AE. I'm going to make up a few doses of SN drink in case I throw it up.

Thanks for your response. It seems some say Ondansetron is acceptable, and in the chart you posted it says no. Going to do more research!

Thank you for responding. I'm going to stick with what I've got (Ondansetron) and I might make an appt with my primary care doctor to see if I can get a script for one of recommended antiemetics. If not, I've got the Ondansetron as a back up

Wishing the best for you, too.
In the Peaceful Pill Handbook Ondansetron is listed as a very effective anti-emetic.

Thank you @Christ88

Dammit I need a final answer on the Ondansetron/Zofran! I have tons of it but I keep seeing yes/no/yes/no ahh.

I guess with a second or even third SN dose just in case, and being completely alone uninterrupted, should be good regardless..?

This is the best info I have about the ondansetron.
Ondansetron is used as anti-emetic for coma patients but not alone. (+meto)

I'm brand new here and I only have anecdotal info ti go on but it has appeared to me that SN starts affecting you strongly and quickly enough that it might be hard to get to the additional doses and thus not succeed. ONLY A GUESS NOT A FACT!!
At any rate that has been my personal concern.

Thank you! I looked through that before but somehow that went over my head. I get migraines with horrible puking and nausea and hoping to make an apt to tell them the Odan isn't helping and I had tried something once that started with an M? It's not like a controlled substance so it should be easy-ish?

Sanctioned Suicide have a guide .. (dozens SN fatalities)
Stan did amazing research
AEs not crucial but helpful
Need dopamine antagonist – Zofran isn't ; PPH says same

You got several educated answers from reliable sources . You may prefer "some who say" ...

Since you have a prescription for Zofran, it might be easy for you to get Meto. The way I got mine is my Zofran stopped working and I told the doctor I was vomiting for several days uncontrollably even though I was taking the Zofran. So they said I needed something stronger or different and prescribed me Meto.

I'm planning on taking Zofran and Meto together.

I get my SN tomorrow and don't have access to a proper AE. I'm going to make up a few doses of SN drink in case I throw it up.
Ideal would be to wait and get a proper antiemetic (eg order online), however :

Possible over-the-counter antiemetics (will depend on your country)
Anagraine (metoclopramide eg Australia)
Buccastem (eg UK) / Nausetil (eg Australia) (prochlorperazine, note : has higher EPS risk)

Other over-the-counter antiemetics
These may be less effective, but could be used if in a hurry, etc, though ideally it's better to get metoclopramide (or prochlorperazine)
"Dramamine" or "Gravol", or anything that says "dimenhydrinate". Should be widely available.
Meclizine ( eg Dramamine Less Drowsy, check meclizine is on label )
Metopimazine/Vogalene (eg France)
Diphenhydramine ( eg Benadryl or Nytol, check diphenhydramine is on label )
Peaceful pill handbook states that cannabis is an antiemetic, but if you're not used to taking it then I'm not sure if it's a good idea.

30 mg metoclopramide plus the ondasetron 45 minutes before 25 grams SN in 75 ml water is the way I would do it.

Metoclopramide is best imo because it will rapidly move the SN from the stomach to the intestine for absorption.

A 24 hour metoclopramide regimen will have the stomach empty before the SN is taken. So I would do a 24 hour.

@peacefullpainless , well said .

The @tyler660 comment you quoted is problematic, briefly suggesting a medication and a dosage, without details = bad practice. This can make people think all they need is Ondansteron, as indeed one comment in this thread shows.

If an "undiscussed" regimen is suggested – please elaborate :) don't hand it out off the cuff ...

I'm likely to do the same, re: making an appt with my primary care doctor and tell her the Ondansetron isn't working as well, and ask for Meto. I'd been prescribed Meto in the past, and have a history of intense nausea/vomiting so I'm thinking this won't be seen as shady by my primary care.
