Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

In Gaza, over 1.9 million people have been forcibly displaced, over 70,000 people have been killed, over 90% of the housing has been destroyed or damaged, women and children are the majority of casualties, and 15 children have died from hypothermia due to power being cut. Meanwhile, the US government is looking to spend a further $8.7 billion in military aid to Israel. What is your view on the origin of this war? Asking since there is not much conversation about it on the site.

This is the slowest genocide in history. The Jews are armed with spoons, Ginosaji flashbacks.

I have an Indian Christian friend who vehemently hates all Muslims for their violence in India, so Israel has friends all around the world.

We are amidst a strong pro Hindu wave. And Muslims being a minority is an easy scapegoat for them, a history of Muslim rulers add complexity to it. Add Kashmir issue. Small issues get highlighted and the narrative is set.

Funnily enough, even the Christians get called as "rice bags or converts" by the hardliners.

Each state in a geographical sitution like Israel has to reduce the lenghts of its borders. So the long term strategy of Israel is the annexation of the Gaza strip and the West Bank.

I'd argue that a "willful genocide" would have a faster progression and a much higher death count.
That's however a far leap from "necessary move" - especially in the context of individual incidents, with civilian deaths.

I think it's very clear that Israel have legitimate reasons for the war. I'm however very hesitant to defend their rhetoric and strategic choices.

Genocide doesn't have a timer, it can take years.

The tragedy and cruelty of the way Israel in harming the Palestinians, and the way it stems from complicity and cruelty and capitalism and relies on those things to perpetrate itself are a big part of why I want to die. Fascism has been in the west for a hot minute but the intensity of it is really cranking up and what happens in Palestine is both history repeating itself and a preview of what fate awaits anyone who opposes the wealthy and the cruel people in power anywhere. If international law and human rights mean nothing- they will mean nothing when you are being killed and abused. This is not self defense, this is a land grab and abuse of power. Fuck Isarael and fuck fascism. And no, I am not antisemitic. I stand with and listen to all oppressed people of the world. It's disrespectful to the memory and honor of jewish holocaust victims to turn a blind eye to this genocide just because they're brown people and Muslim instead of white and Jewish. Never again means never again. Period. Furthermore, Jewish people are not the only people Nazis went after- they came for trans people first, but everyone always conveniently forgets (or more aptly doesn't care) to honor those people. And all the other political prisoners Nazis enslaved and tortured and abused- gay people, disabled people, religious groups, political dissenters, and more.

I wonder what would be happening over there if Hamas hadn't launched their "initiative" on October 7??

The recent rapid escalation would have been avoided, but the underlying issues are very deep, reaching back to the formation of Israel.
The conflict itself is nothing new.
