Method Opening my jugular veins

I'd prefer SN, but in the case where I can't get it I really want to open my jugular and leave a bloody mess for my family to clean up. What'd be the best way to do it? I'm assuming stabbing myself would get the job done but I don't know if slashing/slitting would actually make it quicker.
