Online Nitrogen Packaging (UK)

To anyone who has ordered nitrogen online in the UK how was it packaged on arrival from a courier?

I can't imagine it was delivered as a stand-alone tank with no protection of the valve

have found an online shipper but wondering how it'll arrive (not that it makes a difference)

I think alot of old people have used this method, and have even been able to connect the pressure gauges to the bottles. so i don't think there is any special protection on the bottles, the stuff is used for numerous circumstances , i can't imagine them making it hard for people when they are willing to sell it to the public in the 1st place. you'd be best off just asking the online site how its shipped though, i imagine different companies might ship in all different ways.

The stand-alone tank is generally shipped within a slightly larger box than the cylinder. The tank and valve are simply cushioned with paper or sponges. I would suggest that you purchase a valve handle protector with your cylinder for added protection. Hope that helps. Best, G

Thanks Guys, was just curious as to if it comes in an external box / crate or just a cylinder with an address on it. Would be ordering anyway regardless of how it came. Was interested just in case house mate or neighbour saw a tank arrive

I imagine your neighbour isn't a member of SS ands wouldn't know what it could possibly be used for and if they were they wouldn't be bothered anyway lol. its used for many different things i imagine the last thing some one would think it was being used for was to ctb, i can't imagine average joe knowing that it is used for suicide, its not the sort of info your average person looks for.

Sounds like your mind is at rest but this is how it arrived with me, the View attachment 71764delivery guy wasn't even aware that it was gas.

Its hazardous substance so it should be labelled clearly by law

My Nitrogen cylinder arrived recorded delivery within 2 days via DPD in a slightly larger box container of hard board with protective clear air inserts.

My house mate would however question it which is more the concern. Plus if I missed the delivery I'd rather a box be left than a big gas canister.

they aren't just going to leave a hazardous substance lying around for you, I would imagine if you order something like this you don't have a choice whether to be in or not if you want to receive it. i wouldn't personally order something to ctb with then decide to go out. Most people are anxious enough to receive items to ctb, i would think they would want to make sure it arrives

as i pointed out before do you really think your housemate is a member of SS and knows the stuff is used for CTB with?? i wouldn't have thought so and if they were your in luck lol
