Yeah, theoretically yes! The year without a summer in 1816 was caused due to the eruption of Mount Tambora. Hell, maybe they can crash an asteroid into the earth like what happened with Chicxulub 66 million years ago, aka the main theory of what the major dinosaur killer was! Just have it kick up all that dirt and debris and that should do the trick!
