I would prefer to know what happened to someone I talked to online who just disappeared one day, and would respect their decision if they CTB.
But I'm probably not a good example of a typical person, being a member of a suicide forum.
If you know their email addresses, you can probably send a delayed email somehow.
A typical person might be troubled by the idea that they maybe could've done something to help you, so you should be thoughtful with the note you send them.
