There's nothing pro-choice about forcing the idea that suicidal people need "help" to try and get them not to ctb, pro-choice simply means respecting personal choices, not pushing life valuing sentiments onto others. To act in such a way will always be pro-life and I'm disgusted by how so many refuse to accept suicide as a valid option, it really repulses me how they have a cult like worship of existence even know existing truly is just meaningless suffering.

No matter what suicide should always be respected as a personal choice, trying to get people not to ctb and dismissing their wish to die is patronising, insulting and insensitive. Under no circumstances would I ever wish to exist, to me non-existence is always preferable to suffering so unnecessarily in this futile existence but of course the only true perfection lies in never existing at all. It disgusts me when they act like people need "help" simply for wanting death as in my case suicide is all that feels rational, wanting to die for me is a result of becoming aware of how truly undesirable existence is. The true problem will always lie in existence itself, not the wish to be gone from it, not everyone wants to suffer for decades on end just to be tormented by old age and die anyway.

They could argue yours is a cult of the worship of death or hatred for humanity etc (not that I'm saying you are). I would say that suicidal ideation should definitely always be challenged initially BUT where society fails is to respect someone of being sound mind enough to still want to die when everything has been tried for long enough without success. At the end of the day society is most scared of people dying who didn't need to in the end.

@Ctrl_Alt_DEL The admin/mods are tolerant of this to a point and limit the daily number of threads. She has autism and is a bit of a standout autistic user in regards to her volume and repetition of posts. I appreciate that it does seem a bit crazy seeing them so often but unless she violates the rules or creates a very divisive thread then you can expect many more to come and go like it or not.

I agree. People deserve the right to die if that is what they desire, but it's important to make sure that they are of sound mind and that they are certain that this is what they want. There was recently a case of some ctbing and regretting it and that is something we need to make sure is avoided as much as possible. People should be able to end it if they want to, but there needs to be measures taken to ensure that this is the thing they truly want. Hence why it annoys me that many pro-lifers respond to issues like this by using them as an excuse to take people's bodily autonomy away from them.

If they truly cared then they would be working to allow for things, like easier access to mental healthcare, higher wages, more social programs targeted at supporting victims of abuse and SA, a complete change in how we parent children (children are an incredibly dehumanized demographic, with physical assault and verbal/emotional abuse against them being very normalized methods of "discipline"), less discrimination against marginalized demographics, etc. If they truly want to reduce the amount of suicides then they should be doing more to advocate for systematic and social change, but a lot of them don't care.

This is the most pro choice forum I've ever seen. I have suicidal ideations, but I also want to get help. (In both ways lol.) Never had someone encourage suicide nor encourage living, just answer my questions. What a time to be alive, ironically.

No matter how much suicidal I am or how bad my mentality seeing someone attempting to take their life is very difficult to me. We still have humanity and empathy so providing assistance should be allowed. In my case no assistance on earth will help me changes my mind but not everyone have the same reason so it depends
