last night, i fell asleep but didn't dream, yet i remembered every second. it was just black. i didn't think, i didn't see, it was just peaceful and calm. i interpret this as what death would feel like assuming there's no afterlife and we just stop existing. i wouldn't CTB just to feel it again but it was enjoyable. i'm no longer scared of the uncertainty of the afterlife.

I view those dreamless sleeps as a trial run for death. It's a pause button on my chaotic consciousness.

Suck to wake up from though...

Just a lot of what Some people say...... " doesn't exist, won't happen, or.. w/e " Hell , or something like it. I don't wanna elaborate Too much, in fear of being slammed and shamed from everyone who says it doesn't exist, what kind of God would do that... etc.

i hope there's no afterlife too, i would only be okay with afterlife as like a being of pure energy traveling the universe so i could check out stars and whatever. but of course that's sci-fi so i hope it's something peaceful.

I understand. If only people could be accepting of others beliefs. But I wish you all the best.

I very strongly believe that we just cease existing after this, and to me it's the best thing possible. The thought of not existing forever is the only comfort in such a dreadful world filled with endless suffering, I think it sounds so peaceful to be completely unaware for all eternity with everything finally forgotten about.

I hope my sleep was like that, sadly with death it's not black or white, our brain shuts off like a computer. So it would be nothing, it wouldn't feel nothing because we can longer feel. I just wish for my thoughts to stop tbh

I don't think that nothingness is a feeling. It is, well, just nothing. No suffering, no happiness and feelings at all, no thoughts, and so on... I don't know if it is even possible to imagine how nothingness would be. We also don't even know for sure if there is only nothingness when we die, although this option seems most likely to be true, at least in my opinion.

Everyone goes whererever they want to die once they die.

DMT and Near Death Experiences are the proof of this.

DMT causes similiar effects to Near Death Experiences. NDEs are different for everyone, some say that they reunied with their loved ones, some say that they felt a infinite amount of love, some say that they felt scared, some say that they felt nothing, and some even say that whatever they saw, made them believe that the afterlife is some sort of sandbox mode where they could do whatever they want. It varies from person to person.

Our brain releases a large amount of DMT at the moment we die. You believe you go to "____" after you die and you'll go there. You believe that "____" happens after death and that's what will happen to you.

If you want nothing after death, you will get nothing. If you want to be reunited with your loved ones or pets who died before you did, you'll be reunited with them.

Once you die, you're not bound by the laws of physics anymore.

We don't remember or know anything from before we were born. My earliest memory is a very faint one from when I was 4 and a half. I figure that's what it should be like after we die - there is nothing. Just wish I hadn't been involved in religion. It's very hard for me to remove the indoctrination I received regarding heaven/hell. On the other hand, there's still the fear of the unknown and survival instinct.

My ideal afterlife would be that whatever my "soul" is would join a great stream of other "souls" and be at peace within that giant stream/flow.

I go with whatever seems the most logical/rational to me and that is, there was a point where I didn't exist, and it was nothingness. There will be another point where I won't exist, and it will again be nothingness. So I'm not scared of death, at all, I'm scared of dying/suffering.

Maybe it's cheesy but there's something comforting about the scene from Bojack Horseman "The View from Halfway Down".

We came from nothingness into existence and we will go from existence into nothingness. Since it happened once it will probably happen again but hopefully centuries in the future where things are better. I kinda in between wanting to be reincarnated and not existing forever. I hope I can not exist for a thousand years and then be reincarnated or something

I could accept this more than what I was told when I went to a spiritual forums website and asked what happens should someone ctb. I got a lot of scare tactics thrown at me... something along the lines of "you will feel immediate regret" and when I asked if an individual was in utter pain dying of a disease I would be told it would still be better to "seek help" while still alive in the physical World. A lot of flowery new-age feelsgood conjecture that gets tossed around....pretty useless for someone looking for logical answers about the afterlife.

I don't think your mind is sick, at all. I believe there's something in us that instinctively knows life is eternal. It's just that, for the purpose of our being indoctrinated into and remaining cogs in the monetary machinery, we've been taught that our lives begin when our bodies are born, and end when our bodies die. It's not your mind that's sick, but the minds of the people who run the planet.
We don't remember or know anything from before we were born. My earliest memory is a very faint one from when I was 4 and a half. I think your idea, "My ideal afterlife would be that whatever my "soul" is would join a great stream of other "souls" and be at peace within that giant stream/flow," is accurate. I think that's exactly what happens. That's what's backed up my millions of near-death experience accounts.
