Today marks six weeks post-release after being locked up for 11 months. I thought I'd be doing better outside that shit-hole, but I don't feel it. My sleep schedule is all fucked up, with 30+ hours of wakey-wakey then about 12-14 hours of sleep. I know that is making me worse, but I spent less than 4 hours awake on the the medical pod every day for six months (high-risk solitary close observation). Then the staff decided to fuck with me and throw me in the open medical pod wìth 25 other violent nutters. Really screwed with me.

I've been clean (12-Step program) for over 27 months, so I don't want to take any chemicals to reboot my body. I'm even leery of stuff like melatonin; I don't want to get sent back in for any reason. If you have any experience dealing with life after lock-up, please sling it this way. I need to make it for at least a couple more months.

Why are you locked up? Can you just leave if you want?
