Venting No privacy

I thought, by now, I would be able to have peace and quiet in my home. Done raising kids, things under control. As I get older I find I need even more quiet time and privacy. BUT NO. I never have a moment of peace. There is always someone here, plus their pets. Staring at me. Watching what I eat. If I move or make a sound it's noticed. I have to be polite. I have to be careful what's on my screen. I'm trapped in this situation.

Holy shit, that sucks. I'd go insane if had nowhere to just shut the door and be on my own. It's bad enough that there's a risk of running into family members when I leave my room, but at least I have this small sanctuary of solitude.

Yeah, I understand. This was the kind of future situation that I've tried to avoid all my life. I'm happy I'm single. I live alone. No judgments from anyone. No glances. Everything has its pros and cons I guess.

Much the same. Only downside, especially as a guy, is that your neighbors tend to treat you as the weird hermit. Makes you not want to go outside lol
