I feel ya, my gf left me so I'm all alone on New Years, and my mom also is the only one who talked to me (besides a few friends). For what it's worth, I hope you have an amazing New Years!

There's nothing 'happy' or positive about a new year starting. It confuses me why people are on suicide discussions in the first place when they see this as all being so happy, no they are just denying and invalidating the cruel reality of this existence. A new year starting is such a dreadful thing as all that we are destined for is to suffer. But it must be painful dealing with loneliness, it really is such an awful existence where all this endless suffering continues to exist. I just hate the fact how I've managed to exist for yet another year and how I'm sadly still here.

I agree that there's nothing positive about it. But people around me don't share the same opinion. It just made me feel left out and lonelier than usual :(
