No one will show compassion for how hard it is to kill yourself

It's the worst thing when you just want to end it but you're so afraid of the murderous amounts of physical pain or even of what will follow after you die. Being stuck in limbo like that is the most torturous experience. People do not understand that unless they've been through it themselves, they are even relieved because they feel more certain that you will not kill yourself.

Tell me about it. I don't look forward to the nasty taste, heart palpitations, or other unpleasant effects of SN, but I also don't want to continue living this life. But if I were to admit that to people, they'd say, "I'm glad you're still here!" Thanks for the kind words, but I'm not glad to be here most of the time. I wish I could just tell my body to shut itself off—an inbuilt self-destruct mechanism of sorts.

This is why it's for the best not to open up to people at all, as other people can potentially just make things worse and create more suffering. But yes suicide can certainly be difficult even if one has a method by their side as to leave this world means overcoming the instinct to survive. I do understand that it can certainly be dreadful and tiring when you wish to leave and yet you feel trapped here. At least for me a peaceful and reliable suicide method would solve all of my problems. If I had that I wouldn't have to struggle so much finding a way to leave this world, and I would free myself from the burden of existence as soon as possible.

Yeah even this site is not really safe. I relate a lot, if I had a reliable method I would feel so much better too. I think that a gun would do a lot for me, but I have no idea how to access weapons in my country.

I admire people who do it. Not only for being brave enough to feel the pain, but because they didn't settle for a mediocre or painful life like pro-lifers and positivity zombies. Some people see such value in keeping your head up in hard times and in survival, but I see value in saying no to the bullshit that life offers you.

Exactly! Every person I've talked to about my suicide attempts (besides my best friend who is an absolute angel) shifts the narrative to the people my death would affect. Why is making suicidal people feel guilty for their suffering the answer?

But it takes massive courage to sit there with a gun ready to pull the trigger, holding a cup of SN willing yourself to drink a poison, or waiting to jump from a great height, knowing that anything could go wrong and that you might possibly suffer if you don't die quickly, but still taking a chance and doing it anyway.

AND at the same time overcoming that extremely powerful biological drive for self-preservation/survival instinct. Anyone who says that the act of suicide is cowardly don't know what they're talking about.

A solution to this problem is to travel to Switzerland for physician-assisted suicide, but not everyone has that opportunity.

yep exactly, im going to drown myself in the ocean and thats not cowardly.
Its very scary but since i have no money and no other methods im set on that.
Either that or jumping and i know they both can fail and leave permenant brain damage but its how desperate i am.

I'm not sure it's that easy to die in Switzerland. Even with Swiss citizenship it must be hard, I don't think they do it for tourists.
