Yeah. No one is insulting anyone. Look, I hate god and religions with passion but this dude is just trying to give advice from something he believes is good and so be it. These passages are good.

Anyway, I understand how you feel like you're demanded, even forced, to be better--to get better because if you don't, you'll lose him and you'll lose everyone.

Have you told him that making you do this and that is just suffocating you instead of helping you? I was in your boyfriend's shoes before and I didn't know or at least, I couldn't see how my attempts were smothering my lover back then.

I didn't see how support could be seen as pressure and she tried telling me but I was so confused since she addressed my "demands" as expectations.

The expectations were crushing her, she said.

And I didn't know what to do when I heard that because I was very entitled and selfish. I thought that it's ridiculous how partners cannot place expectations on one another's back.

I was supposed to focus on her capacity and instead, I focused on her abilities--how she was withholding her potentials that should have been there because I kept motivating her. Her betterment was supposed to be MY reward.

I hope that your boyfriend is not like me at all and that you can tell him about how you really feel.

If all else fails, we're here. We'll be your safety net. I believe that none of us wants any more person to die and wants everyone who's suicidal and depressed here to get better. We are always happy when others can find their happiness.

Come vent to us often and tell us what's up. Be absolutely detailed and swear all you want. We're not pussies.
