Loneliness is the biuggest cause of depression and ctb, it seems. Do you have fammily members who care? POssibly classmates of co-workers that you know? Or are you not in school and not working- there are still ways to meet people even then. WHat country do you live in? The website meetup is a good way to make friends by sharing a common interest.

I'm in the u.s. Is there any way you can find to spend some time here and there with family, even if you are helping them work on something? Can you get any type of employment? Social connection is the key to fighting depresssion, people need to be social to feel better.

I don't have friends either.. I'm 32 in July and I don't think I've had 'friends' since I was in my late teens. Since then it was just colleagues when I worked, classmates when I went back to study.. but I can't call any of those people 'friends'. My only friends are my older sister and two cats lol do they count?

I know that loneliness can be painful for many. I'm sorry that you are in this situation. It really is such an unfair and depressing life. I hope that you find relief from your suffering.

I am very introverted and socially awkward so making friends is too stressful.
