Method Nitrite test strips

I want to test the purity of my SN asap, and the SN bible recommends to use the bartovation test strips, but those are too expensive for me (the shipping is the main reason). Would other nitrite test strips work? And if yes, anyone has got any recommendations which one are alright to use? I'm going to do both the blood and aquarium test, but have trouble finding nitrite test strips in my country.

Thanks, after a bit more thinking, I believe I will be buying the bartovation ones. I'll get my friend to order it, and Ill trade him some items of mine so that he will pay for it.

Hi, sorry just another quick question, i found them on the actual Bartovation website for $20 with the title 'Nitrite 0-25 ppm, Nitrate 0-500 ppm Two Pad Test Strip [Vial of 50 Strips]', are these the correct ones?

The commonly recommended strips are "bartovation" brand aquarium water test strips.
They'll check nitrite & nitrates.
Testing for nitrates is necessary as nitrites, when oxidized turn to nitrates.
