I have been trying for an incredibly long time to perform a blood choke but cannot for the life of me do it. From what I know, these are the main points:
1) You have to press both carotid arteries
2) You have to press on the carotid bifurcation
3) Pressing too hard will compress the jugular (head expanding feeling)

My pain tolerance is pretty good, so I compress even when my head is expanding but even then I cannot seem to get any light headedness. I've tried placing the cornhole beanbags on the spot the night-night megathread indicates, I've tried putting it directly on the largest pulsating blob, I've tried placing it on the sides like the medical images shown below. Of course I've also tried variations on the previously mentioned spots, but nothing close. I should say that the beanbags are bigger than the megathread's boxes show (despite buying it from the source they listed) but I have also tried all of the above using my hands.

What am I missing?

I'm still trying to figure this out too.

What the night-night is is a self-inflicted choke-hold. I have been choked out by this hold in a martial arts class, and I can assure you that you will die if the hold is not released. It works by blocking the blood to your brain, which causes unconsciousness and death moderately quickly.

I'm not convinced by this method as, to me, it simply seems to be a less effective form of hanging. If you wish to die by cutting off the supply of blood to your head, partial suspension seems the better option.

I really don't understand why you'd attempt with NN. It's the same as partial. If you're serious about CTB and want to mitigate the risk factor, why not choose the more surefire method of FSH? Least you can be confident you succeeded, and you say you have a high pain threshold.

I'm thinking of trying night night again. Or I should say it is on my rotating list. From what I've learned from failure at this is I think pressure is being evening distributed to all the arteries from the corn hole bags and no great pressure on the critical carotid artery. This may sound dumb but I am thinking of putting a folded up sock in the area either side of my Adams apple (area of carotid arteries) and then place the corn hole bags on top of them. This way when I tighten the ratchet strap it will put additional pressure where it is most needed while still being able to breath. Let me know if this makes sense or is a dumb idea.
