So a lot happened last night up until now.

In case any of you were unaware, I was @Charatoriel's partner in helping her CTB last night. Or should I say, /attempt/ to CTB. We tried 5 separate times using the tourniquet method, and she didn't even pass out. We are fairly sure that this is because her bf (who is very against this) is a magic user who cast a spell preventing her suicide attempts to work. We were planning to try again on Friday with the SN I ordered, but she had a meeting with her social worker today and I guess she must have been able to tell or something (although I don't know how, since her skin color hid the litigation marks pretty well) and has sent her to a psych ward. Given that theytend to hold people in those or a minimum of 72 hours, not including weekends, she'll be in there at least until Monday. I'll post more on this thread as I find out, but if anyone (especially magic users) has advice, feel free to comment or PM me.

Believe me, I know. I'm covering my tracks as much as possible, but if I do end up being charged, as least it's for a good cause.

not to be mean but, purely theoretically, are you on any type of drugs/medicine? do you feel well?

First, no, I am not on any drugs/medicine that would cause me to have delusions or hallucinations like I'm sure you're thinking. I am also about 'well' as someone who has chronic pain, BPD, and PTSD can be. However, I am a Pagan witch (and yes, witches can be male). I you don't believe me and think there is a more scientific reason, you are welcome to that. Just please don't try to tell me that I believe means that I am crazy. I have far too many reasons to be so already.

To answer your second question, yes I am well aware of the potential consequences. That's why I've been meticulously covering my tracks. Further, I have contingency plans in place if I was to be held liable. I appreciate your concern, though.

yes there is a scientific reason, the tourniquet method is really hard to pull off, the neck area is very different for each person and for that reason not many people on this forum have found success with partial hanging and tourniquet, you can see the frustration on some posts about members that have practiced this for months to no avail.

i respect your beliefs, but this is one of those methods that seem too unreliable, not a curse or a spell, just a very tricky way to go. at least you got SN, that one really seems to work in most people.

Yeah the more practical reason is it doesn't sound like either of you prepared enough in advance, including figuring out where best to apply pressure to compress carotids. Plenty of threads about this, and plenty of posts about this in the hanging and tourniquet threads.

As an FYI, there is also a regimen for SN to follow that requires at least 48 hours to prepare AFAIK. And it is really important you read up and prepare if you end up opting for that, because people do survive ingesting SN if they aren't adequately prepared.
