Newbie, first post, question about books:

Hi all. Been reading a lot of this forum, just really impressed, tons of great info. I'm trying to learn as much as I can.

My question has to do with two different books that seem to be mentioned a lot. The first is Derek Humphrey's classic Final Exit. The second is The Peaceful Pill Handbook.

Final Exit is available for about $17, with an additional pamphlet or PDF called How to Make Your Own Inert Gas Hood Kit for an additional $10. The Peaceful Pill Handbook sells for about $95.

I'd like to know what people here think of these books. Are both or either worth buying? TIA.

Stan-I'm just rereading your response to my first post last week. Are you saying that somewhere in the List of Resouces section there's a link to the entire PPH? If so, I can't find it. -G.

It's in there somewhere. Along with 5 Last Acts. IIRC, there's a link to a zip file called "Deadside Reading" which has it.

Probably no information thats not in the other sources. Its easy. Highly recommend those turkey bags as mentioned in the books, micropore tape also good.

I agree, have been fairly familiar with the method for years, been brushing-up this past week to make sure I haven't missed anything. I haven't! Was just curious about the ERGO PDF.

Actually, I think TiredHorse, the OP in the Exit Bag and Inert Gas megathread, does an excellent job of explaining everything one would need to know in just a few, clearly-written posts.

At this point in time it's what I'm going to use next March.
