I know it is an American traumata. But I think who remembers for example that earthquake in Libya from last year where nearly 3.000 people died at one day. Literally noone on this planet cares (outside Libya). There are many Americans in this forum it is just natural that 9/11 is in their memories. But globally speaking noone cares when major crises happen in other countries. And 9/11 led to way more deaths in the Middle East.
I don't think that's true. I know that in the face of tragedy, no matter what kind, the US immediately coordinates with relief agencies, donating tons of food, water, medical supplies, and anything else that could be of need. In the end the peoples of each country remember and hold solemn the anniversaries of calamities in their own respective countries. The US has their own natural disasters to which, I don't believe, any country contributes any aid whatsoever. But, the US is always first in giving help to other countries that need it. And 9/11, lest we forget, wasn't a natural disaster, but a crime perpetrated on thousands of innocent civilians that had absolutely nothing to do with the
perceived injustices committed by the US government on persons in foreign lands.
