Discussion Never been this close to death

I can feel it , I can smell death coming and reaching, I can hear the steps getting louder and louder, I've been suicidal for more than a year now , not gonna lie , despite everything, a part of me wanted to stay , a tiny part , but now , Im so ready to go , never been so ready , I wish I can have a peaceful death and actually die with dignity, but I will probably die in a cold place , alone , and in pain , we can't even have a good death , this is how miserable life is

Im sorry you have to go through all of this as well , i'm actually 24 , this feeling of death getting closer actually reminds of a quote of rust cohle when he said : "You look in their eyes, even in a picture, doesn't matter if they're dead or alive, you can still read 'em. You know what you see? They welcomed it... not at first, but... right there in the last instant. It's an unmistakable relief. See, cause they were afraid, and now they saw for the very first time how easy it was to just... let go"

I'm sorry buddy, i'm pretty close of if too, close enough, but still some second toughts about it, maybe waiting will anwser if that's the right decision. I wish i didn't have to be this way, why our brain makes us feel like that, why we can't just live without feeling so bad

It is a horrible world that we live in where we are denied the option to peacefully exit. A peaceful suicide should be a human right, no one should have to die a painful death. All that I want is to pass away peacefully, I deserve eternal sleep. We have suffered enough in life so we should not have to suffer when we are dying. I hope you find peace and freedom from pain in whatever happens.

a provisional driving licence will also be sufficient for photo ID.

Good suggestion but I'm registered as not being fit to drive so they wouldn't issue a licence.

btw, I understand that kind of emotional pain, arnold. I also feel that Death is not far around the corner. I've been suicidal for at least 5 years now. It takes its toll after a while.

+++++! but for me this sensation has kind of gone away. i've been suicidal for more than 10 years, and now i… kinda feel in… in command of it??? i mean — yeah, the death is near. but only i decide when it truly comes (cringe, i know). i'm taking my time to prepare. i feel no fear.

In fact, scrap that. I don't think they would accept that card as suitable ID. Here is Western Union's ID criteria:

Thanks for this. I know they've tightened up on security due to money laundering laws.

I have SN but would prefer N. Just seems like there are so many hurdles to surmount.

A passport isn't cheap but I think I can apply online.

Or maybe go with SN. Some people can't even get that.
