Definitely not 13 reasons why
I like sense 8 definently underated and an icon for the LGBTQAI+ community

My favorite is Devilman Crybaby. A fresh outlook on an anime classic. And an appeal to the crybaby that is me.

Yeah I reckon most people will say 13 reasons why. That's why I created this thread.

I felt like thirteen reasons why was terrible a misrepresentation, that focused on the people affected by the suicide (at least for first two seasons). Instead of the struggle and bravery of the person who did it.

Won't lie, had me triggered watching the first season.

I actually dislike most of them. There is a show on there called Happy Valley. I absolutely loved that when it was first on tv. It is quite dark and depressing but it has a sense of realism about it like most British tv does. It's about a female police seargent in Yorkshire, England. She investigates a kidnapping.

I would recommend that for those that haven't seen it.

1) Bojack Horseman
2) The Marvel Netflix shows (Luke Cage>Jessica Jones>Punisher>Daredevil>Defenders>Iron Fist though I still think Iron Fist is fine)
3) High Score Girl (Netflix only in the US)
4) Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous (saw it the other night, wrote a more detailed review in another thread)
5) A Series of Unfortunate Events (better ending than the books lol)
6) Castlevania
7) Stranger Things

I've also seen Disenchanted which is........just okay.

My personal favourite serie is sense 8
I was so upset when they cancelled Sense8 and then they had to fit everything into a 2 hour episode when it could have been another season

Season 1 of "13RW" was not awful, but each successive season got more outlandish and less interesting, imo.

My favorite Netflix series have been "Stranger Things" and "The Crown." If we're including other series that are available on Netflix, "Sherlock" is probably the best I've seen.

-Wentworth (Australian tv show about a women's prison. Kind of a grittier, [better, imo] show than Orange is the New Black)
-House on Haunted Hill
-Girl From Nowhere (LOVE this show. It's in Thai language so there are subtitles. It's a hard show to describe - has a sort of Twilight Zone vibe to it because of the morality messages inherent to each episode and how strange things happen but you don't always get an explanation as to WHY or how they do or how they're possible, so it horror/supernatural elements as well. I wish I could better explain it, it's so good!)
-Stranger Things
-Dead To Me

The haunting of house hill

THAT'S the show I meant in my previous message - I screwed up the title. lol

Haunting of HIll House. GREAT show.

Haunting of Bly Manor comes out on Netflix on Oct. 9 and I can't wait, the trailer for it looks as good as Hill House was and there's so many of the same actors in it that were in HIll House, too.

I think it's amazon prime, and it gets progressively worse through the seasons, but I really liked Westworld. Season 3 was a joke but 1 was really good. I found myself relating a little too much to the hosts, which I suppose was the point lol. I thought it had a deep premise, kind of buddhist really which I love seeing recontextualized into less spiritual and mythological environments. Makes it more accessible.

@OpheliasFlowers
Wentworth was awesome!
