Is there even any difference in terms of peacefulness when it comes to Nembutal vs a Fentanyl or Heroin overdose?

I think the big issue with the opioids is lack of reliability and purity, so it may be peaceful but you may not end up succeeding if you are trying to CTB.

There seem to be cheap testing kits.

N is almost impossible to get where H seems possible to find in any big city.

Yes.
Pentobarbitol is a barbiturate.
Fentanyl, heroin etc are opioids.
Naloxone would revive an opioid OD but wouldn't affect a barbiturate OD.
Pentobarbitol is the "heavyweight" of barbiturates. 🌹💔

But what about my question, do they differ in peacefulness?
Both seem to just put you asleep almost instantly at a high enough dose, you pass out and stop breathing.

Same peacefulness, much lower reliability for opioids

Strictly talking about peacefulness, it's the same. Opioids may even be better because of the euphoria (I'm not sure if barbiturates also have that euphoric feeling).

No to all of those. Peacefulness also = speed. F will kill you in about 5 mins, possibly faster. N is upwards of 20. Idc if you're unconscious - we have no idea what someone goes through for those 20 mins. I will always go for a chemical that works fast.

Damn N needs 20 minutes to kill you?
Do you think a lot of Heroin will work as fast as F would?

Probably not. H is natural, F is synthetic. I believe even if injecting, there are different absorption rates. If I has the option, F all the way. There are other synthetic opioids as potent as F, and easier to get in pure powder form, like protonitazene.
