Yes in the sense that you would need some time in the hospital with acute care to recover from all your systems shutting down, and probably not in the sense that you would have permanent damage. The main fear would be brain image from oxygen deprivation and it doesn't seem to have been observed - of course, low sample size due to the few failures, but pentobarbital may also protect neurons from some of this damage (there's no real conclusive consensus on how well it does, that I can see). It's a risk you incur with any depressant overdose though; people who ODed on benzos and opioids have shown cognitive injury in at least one study conducted after discharge.

As far as overdosing goes, or any method, it's extremely reliable and the damage you risk by failing is pretty minimal.

If you're scared about this, btw, leave something that makes it clear what you used. Overdosing on N is rare, so it'd be easier to treat accurately if they were aware it was pentobarbital. But it should be lights out as long as you aren't found and you take enough. (I saw you mention in another thread sending a youtube live link to somebody - don't do this if you don't want to be found - it may have been dark humour or venting, I don't know, but streamed suicides usually get the cops called.)

The N may not put you in a coma fast enough, depending on the size of the bag. If it's big enough to let you breathe for a long time, and attached securely, sure. One problem I see with this method is you are adding more risks from failure, but that's about it.

No, I'm not a doctor, and I can't give advice like a doctor. I have an academic as well as a personal interest in the subject though. Most of what I say about methods is just from looking at all the studies and relevant sources I can find. And I encourage people to search for it themselves if they feel capable, if only to reassure themselves.

Overdoses and poisonings have lots and lots of information on them available. Some people don't publish case reports, but there's not much else data that's available.

Go as far away from your home as possible (a different city, if feasible). Use an alias, pay cash. Take the battery off your cellphone. (If you're an iPhone owner leave it elsewhere). You can also leave the phone at a decoy location, provided it doesn't have any compromising info - I think it's best to take it with you when you abscond.

Thanks for your input. I still haven't researched it properly. Up to this week I had decided on suspension hanging, but thanks to this forum I leaned about A. I'm thinking about postponing my departure to see if I can receive N from him. I'll take your opinion under advisement.

If they have real reason to believe you are in danger, they will take it more seriously than if they do not, as after all you are an adult and entitled to be away for 24 hours (or less, they can conduct welfare checks before you're formally a missing person - but they won't if there's no reason to). But if you unexpectedly go missing, say unusual things, threaten self-harm, etc. these are all reasons to believe you might hurt yourself. Many people on here seem to get caught because they let people know right before, or do or say suspicious things that make people wary. Use scheduled emails to say your final words to people.

I oded on heroin and failed. And got pretty badly damaged so I'm nervous it could be the same with N if I failed.

It's like you have military jetfighters with high precision missile, your mission is destroy a building with 0 fatality in your side, if you wanna add foot soldiers, they don't add any advantage but may add an inconvenient (dying during the airstrikes, which may complicate your mission of destroying the building with 0 fatalities )

Oh wow, same with me. What happened to you? I went into renal failure and spent 2 weeks in the hospital getting dialysis (in a port they put in my neck!). I also apparently sprained my ankle and nodded out on my leg and cut off circulation to my foot. I have no memory of this. But my foot never healed, and I can't walk now. It turned into Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. My leg has also gotten stuck in a bent position because I haven't been walking with it. I have to use a walker in my apartment, and get pushed in a wheelchair when I am outside.

Omg wow, I'm sorry! I hate that you are in a similar situation but it's reassuring to know I'm not alone. What is renal failure? And I'm sorry to hear that, that sounds horrible:( how much heroin did you do and how did you do it? I woke up with pneumonia and wounds all over my body. I feel exhausted all the time now, can barely eat and it's a year and a half later. I also threw up and got migraines a lot. I did 3 grams of black tar heroin into my muscle like a shot at the doctor, plus benzos, vodka, antiemetics and grapefruit juice

Fuck. I can't believe the heroin and the benzos together didn't do it. What was the reason for injecting it that way? I snort it. I only got through half a gram before idk wtf happened for almost a week before I woke up or realized where I was and saw that my foot was swollen and purple. Renal failure is kidney failure. Why the fuck do they call it that, that makes no sense, right? Do you feel like you've had any brain damage? I've ODed a few times, and I know I'm not the same.
