There is surprisingly little information on the interactions between pentobarbital and antipsychotic medications. It it generally understood that there is an interaction, but the timeline is always unspecefic. The PPH says that "a few days" discontinuation is sufficient, while other sources state a month, or even a years abstinence is necessary to avoid complications. WTF. I know there isn't much information out there, and obviously the subject hasn't been researched enough, but does anyone know ANYTHING that might be helpful? It's been about 2 weeks since I've stopped taking Zyprexa, and I'm wondering at what point can I safely say that it has left my system enough for Nembutal to be an effective agent? I've been taking it for several years, so without a doubt it's had a chance to in bed itself in my liver. From what I've been able to gather, prolonged use of antipsychotics dramatically increases the chance of extended barbiturate coma a raises the time of death by 22 hours. I am greatly troubled.
