  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

Tall buildings in the u.s typpically don't have access to the outside- windows don't open, there aren't balconies high up, and there is no way to get to the roof unless you're a maintenance person. It is unjlikely you can find a place high enough to jump- just fyi.

If someone took you there knwoiung your intentions this could create legal problems for them, depending on what the laws are like where you live they could possibly be convicted of something like assisted suicide and go to prison.
It may be worth it to say why you want to ctb to see if people here might have any ideas for making things better.

You'd have to devise a really good plan to get access to a roof on a high-rise building. Hypothetically, someone could hide out on the floor that has the roof access door, wait for a guard doing his rounds, if they still do that since everything is camera now, knock out the guard and take his keys to unlock the access door, and get up there that way. Sounds complicated to me. Detroit has several tall bridges. You could always climb to the top of one of them if you can get by the suicide blockades that they put on to keep people from being able to do that.

The 10 story parking lot that they're talking about is easy to access and get in and out. It's like a tourist attraction because there's a bunch of art on the building so people can easily get in to take pictures, etc. I only know this because I'm from the state that their from and I know what parking lot they're referring to.

Where's that cuz I just airbnbed a 14th story space in downtown Detroit but the windows wouldn't open. Threw a semi-fit and saiid it was a dump so I got all my money back. I clocked the parking garages while I was down there and didn't see anything that fit my needs. Supposed there is one but it's heavily watched so that this kind of thing doesn't happen. PM me if you can and if you want.

I'm reading that this particular garage is preventing people from coming in and taking pictures and video to avoid jumpers. I don't know which corners it's located on though.

I don't see anything on this site about someone just "Thelma and Louise"ing it. Does no one here live in AZ, NM, CO, UT with some locations of cliffs that a person could just drive off of? Yes, I'm getting desperate - 6 years into a chronic health condition.
