Hello, say one doesn't want to draw much attention when buying SN. So adds more products to the shopping cart, that are used as preservatives. What alternatives are there to SN, as a preservative?

Citric acid would be a common one.

It's used for different things than SN though.

Here are a few of the ingredients you may need to preserve sausages:
  • Salt
  • Citric acid
  • Ascorbic acid
  • Potassium sorbate

I've always order my SN alone, maybe it's not something to worry too much about, my seller has never asked me what I needed it for, and I've bought it several times throughout the years, I just told them once I wanted to use it as a meat preservative and that was it
