Do antidepressants reduce the effect of N ?

If we have been taking them for a long time, should we stop them before taking the N - or should we mix Dilantin with N (as in the case of an antipsychotic treatment) ?

Thank you in advance for your answers.

I think it depends on the antidepressant, most should be fine however, they usually don't interact with GABA receptors at all.

But I know that substances that cause sleepiness tend to have some level of cross-tolerance even if they don't act on the same receptors. That's probably the reason why N tends to be less effective on people who use antipsychotics for long periods of time.

Thank you. Escitalopram, for example, is good ?

This is a drug from the SSRI class, so I don't think that it has any direct effect on GABA. you should be fine.
