Not sure what's holding me back. Guess I am frightened of it raising alarms but I don't think there have been that many problems with it going through customs- it is a legal substance afterall. Hope it arrives soon to put your mind at ease.

update it passed customs. Now they're shipping it to the post office

I suppose it depends on national culture too.
Some countries have a higher percentage of residents hunting/fishing to support their food sources and they might rely more on curing salts than a recreational hunter for example in Western Europe.

I would expect more countries to tighten regulations though.
The UK has already declared SN as "reportable substance", which makes it a bit more difficult, but not impossible apparently to get it through customs. Not all packages seem to be screened.
