A complex illusion

We have strong feelings about this world, this time loop we have been put into, we lucid dream often, when we break into our dreams they feel so real but always sometimes off. This is exactly how we feel about our life, it feels so real but something, SOMETHING is off. What keeps us "alive" and spectating this world is the fact that we are not real, we are not here, everything we see isn't real. Why is this? Because I'm a spectator of this stranger I see through, the stranger I feel with, the stranger is type this with. I do not know "myself" because we are not myself. We know some people don't think this in depth, but we couldn't care less how nuanced this may sound. what if the world is really upside down? what if it all vanishes when I'm not around? what if I'm seeing people from the inside out? what if the only moment is right here and now?

whatever helps us sleep, thats what I tell the stranger I'm with. whatever helps the stranger sleep. A consciousness makes up who we are, our personality, but we know we don't have that.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have, we are free to answer

P.s.
No, we are not a system.

Welcome. Every single word you've said is consistent with what the great sages of the East have been saying for thousands of years. Yet the knowledge still remains hidden because it is counterintuitive, and thus easily dismissed, by our conditioned (brainwashed) minds. I would be interested to learn how you discovered these conclusions for yourself and if you have been able to undergo experiential changes through exploring this beyond intellectual understanding.

It should be glaringly obvious to any open-minded person that when we conventionally respond to the question of who we are with stories about our family background, country of origin, gender, personality and history, we are describing concepts that were completely absent to us in very early childhood. Yet we were still the same basic thing (consciousness) even back then. We could just as easily have been born into a different body, with a different story and a radically different personality, yet the same indescribable, unquestionable essence always remains.

Each of our mental identifications breaks down upon inspection. Take for example country of origin.
* What exactly is a country? Ummm, some historical guy's completely made-up idea about a random geographical boundary following a large-scale schoolyard fight. Put bluntly, it doesn't exist.
* Where is it? 'I' was supposedly born in Melbourne. Where's that? Australia? Where's that? Earth? Where's that? The solar system. Where's that? The Milky Way. Where's that? The universe. Where's that? Umm, you're not allowed to ask that question.
* What is space itself? Scientifically, something inseparable from time. Einstein himself concluded that "Reality is merely an illusion". Perhaps the Buddha replied, "Well, duh!"
* How do you know you (distinguished from the body) were born at all? Is the claim that the universe has existed for 13.8 billion years and will exist for trillions more, yet your infinitesimal few decades of existence happens to be ongoing right now?

I could go on, but the important point is that when we follow a subtractive process and un-learn all our false ego ideas, the indescribable void that remains is one without boundaries or definitions of any kind. Not even a sense of separation from anything/anyone else. A pure, empty awareness of whatever comes and goes. Many people of tasted this (psychedelic insights, mystical experiences, near-death experiences, etc.), and some have succeeded in achieving ego death. While I'm not one of the lucky ones, I can point anyone interested to resources.
