My mum died today

My mum died today. I still cant find her death certificate etc. she was so organized in her work but at home it is a mess. I am amazed she even found anything. Not on the outside but in her drawers etc. important documents are just thrown in. Man its hard work going through that shit paper by paper.
I am goign to make a will and make it as easy as possible for the one who needs to bury me.
Fuck my life its hard.

Are you in the us? If you can't find her birth certificate , you can request a copy online as long as you know some information about her.

I had to do this for my bf when he misplaced his birth certificate. I just googled the state he was born in and the department of health in that state and I found instructions. I had to pay to get it but I don't remember it being too expensive. Only go on government websites for this though. I don't know if other sites are trustworthy. Good luck getting her birth certificate.

When I lost my mom, a couple of years ago, I at least had other relatives that took care of the organizational stuff. I only had to write some last words, come up with songs and collect pictures for the funeral ceremony. I can't imagine having to be responsible for it all.

In the end the grieving could only start after the funeral, after everything had been taken care of.
All the condolences, often from people I didn't even know, sounded empty & hollow.

So I don't know what to say.
I'm very sorry.

My mum was a hoarder in the 34 years of my existence I never saw her throw anything away, was difficult sorting through a 3 bed house of it. Pretty much on own too and I'm one of 5 kids. I understand how your feeling and how hard it is. I'm here if you need to talk

I'm truly sorry for your loss OP, that must be incredibly hard.

You're probably a stronger person than me. I don't think I could handle it if my mum died, we're so close I'd probably fast forward my ctb if it happens before I die. I worry about it all the time and spend a considerable amount of time and energy trying to look after her health.

Wow, yeah you are going through a lot at the moment, my heart goes out to you. My mother died a few years back and I had to sort out most of the stuff on my own. It is a big responsibility. Just do one thing at a time and try not to add extra stress to yourself. Does the doctor prescribe you anything to help you relax during times like this? Sending you my love. Sorry you are going through this. Losing your mother is one of the toughest things to go through.

That's what I wish for as well. I believe your mother will always be with you no matter what your decision. You will feel her loving presence no matter where you go. She will guide you forever. And you will re-unite, someday, I believe that. Peace.

Oh I'm sorry I just saw your other threads from tuesday and wednesday, I had no idea.

I can't even begin to think about how hard this would be, it's one of my biggest fears. I see mum getting older and I start thinking for a minute about her not being around one day and its just too much. You're really strong for sorting out all the finances and paperwork during such a heartbreaking time. I hope you've got some support around, my heart goes out to you
