My full suspension attempt that failed

This was my closest attempt. It was this past summer in July.

I went deep into the woods and hung a noose from a tree branch. Near where I hung the noose there was a chair that had been brought there at some point. When I put the chair at the base of the tree I could just get my head in the noose. So I did just that - climbed onto the chair, placed the noose around my neck, and jumped.

I was completely suspended for a few seconds. When I went to draw in a breath and couldn't, my instinct reacted and my foot reached back, finding the damn chair that I hadn't knocked over. I climbed back on it and managed to take the noose from around my neck. I had a bruise for a few weeks and there is still something I can feel when I swallow.

Overall, it's really frustrating since it freaked me out and getting back to a headspace where I can make a real attempt has become impossible. After that failed attempt I stuck around to try and do it again but kick the chair out this time. Couldn't do it.

I wouldn't go this way again. It turned me off it. There wasn't pain. Instead, a lot of discomfort. Just that feeling of not being able to draw another breath. Like I said, my body reacted against it. My throat was bruised, though.

The chair wasn't under me. So when I jumped i hung. The chair was behind and to the right of me - if you're talking about the first attempt.

If you're talking about after that when I couldn't bring myself to attempt again. The heart just went out of me for it. It'll be back, though. My problems aren't going away.
