my friends are really questionable

i made a joke asking if I was getting ignored because my last few texts in our groupchat had gone unanswered
i was met with my friends telling me that i'm selfish because i dont tend to respond to other people's messages
i feel like it's two extremely different scenarios - i dont respond to other people's messages as often because they already get replies from other people. mine had no replies whatsoever.
i know i'm selfish, i understand that, but i feel like it's a false equivalency.
im probably gonna relapse later tonight because of this shit but i just wanted other people's opinions.
