After two days of trying to partial hanging and never get it right it drained me physically and emotionally, I decided to go to the full suspension method, very well, I climbed the chair, prepared the knot, put around my neck and stepped out of the chair.
I lost conscience very soon, actually I wouldn't even notice I had lose conscience if I wouldn't had wake up gasping desperately for air. The feeling was so so horrible I climbed black to the chair and removed the ligature but continued gasping for air. I had my hand and feet frozen, a weird sensation on my tongue like it was numb, my neck was (still is) hurting like hell and my vision was blurred for at least half hour after the incident.
I feel bad after for have desperate cause my body was desperate gasping for air and I'm scared this will happen again and again and I'll not be brave enough to go through the suffocation.

Does anyone knows why I could have woke up after lose conscience? My ligature was below the Adam's apple

Ms./Mr. Niiina,

Maybe it could be your ligature material, perhaps you used a big rope, or maybe small? If you could provide details of your rope (
Like size, Material, Knots, Or picture) I could possibly get to the bottom of this mystery.

Though it could be your ligature is sound and in no need of changes. In that case, and I would say that it could be- (
I'm presuming the chair was near you) -while you were unconscious you subconsciously thrashed around- (The legs do this when trying in a vain effort to supply oxygen to the brain.) -and that must have delivered enough oxygen to your brain to awake consciousness. (which is unlikely but possible.)

Or the most plausible case, you managed to thrash yourself onto the chair like a beached baby whale, allowing oxygen to get to your brain to revive consciousness!

I could only think maybe tie-ing your legs/arms to be a solution. But only if that is for CTB… not practice runs, also: remember to limit your hangings to 2 minutes, otherwise 10 minutes in permanent brain-damage can occur.

And for final remembering: It's always your choice concerning CTB

Sorry if this answer is congested

Best regards,

OP says the rope was below Adam's apple. Could this be a reason?
I don't know how it would stay below the Adam's apple during a full suspension? I'd think it would ride up ?

All my research says to put the rope above the adam's apple, so taht might be why

Yes, found that out eventually, that's what I'm trying next
Something similar happened to me. I used a strap with a slipknot round my neck and some prices of foam pressed on my c arteries. I do remember passing out to darkness and almost felt as if I was asleep. Next thing I knew I was awake violently ripping off the foam. I didn't even try and do this but guess it was si taking over. I tried again soon after but I was so drained I remember just falling asleep half on the bed and then woke up the next morning like a normal day. Trying again when I got my 10mm rope which should have less complications. Btw im following the robin Williams approach. This can be done sitting and leaning forward making the knot tighter. I found it easier putting the knot above the Adam's apple but when I try below it kills my windpipe and makes it so uncomfortable

I had researched into hanging (even have rope just in case) and the location of the knot also matters. You want to put pressure on the carotid artery which if I remember correctly is on the left side of your neck below your ear. This artery delivers blood to the brain so restricting that part as much as possible would be more likely to go unconscious and stay that way until 100% brain dead.

It's comforting to know I'm not the only one failing a full suspension, as weird as that may sounds. Will try again soon (Actually I was to try last night but my body reacted very badly, got fever, shakings, my heart was to explode, and I got paralyzed. I believe it was the SI kicking in very early. So I delayed it cause I want it to be peaceful aka I chickened out)

Btw the Robin Williams technic never worked for me, I've tried to the exhaustion, never found the sweet spot, I'm very incompetent with those neck things huh, but no other method available so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe for some people they are able to engage their cartoid arteries but for the rest of us we just have to suffer a violent, painful death if we want to get the job done. If I had access to phenobarbital or fentanyl then it would be done but I'm too much of a coward to strangle myself to death while entirely conscious or throw myself off a high point. I've strongly considered a full hanging where I can't back out of it but I know it would be a violent unpleasant death.
