Please can someone help or answer some of my questions im looking to CTB ASAP and want someone to check over my method and setup.

is this tank big enough the 9L one? https://expressweldcare.co.uk/product/nitrogen-gas-cylinder-oxygen-free/
Ive brought this regulator will it fit? https://ebay.us/m/w5sCv2
if im using a co2/argon flow rate regulator how do i get 15lpm? should i aim for 12lmp on the co2 gauge?

now im worrying my regulator wont fit the tank ahhh i dont have time to be messing around.
Money isnt an issue if i need to express ship something im in the uk.

Here is the information that I am going to use to prepare my nitrogen setup (for the future). This is based on my own research. I hope it helps. By the way, a 5L bottle is more than enough. If you setup is right you will faint in a few seconds and will be gone in 3-4 minutes.
I plan on using a 5L Bottle so:
Gas Quantity

  • Theoretical Volume: 5 L × 200 bar = 1,000 liters of nitrogen at atmospheric pressure (1 bar).
Duration at 15 liters per minute

Flow
Theoretical Time
Approximate Real Time
15 L/min66.7 minutes60 - 65 minutes
In practice, you will lose some gas because when the pressure drops below 15-20 bar, the regulator no longer delivers a stable flow.

Regarding the regulator
If your flowmeter is calibrated for argon, then:

  • 15 L/min nitrogen ≈ 13–14 L/min on an argon flowmeter
So you set the needle slightly lower than your target.

Argon scale reading
Actual nitrogen flow
10 L/min~11–12 L/min
12 L/min~14 L/min
15 L/min~17–18 L/min

You want 15 L/min nitrogen

  • Set regulator to about 13–14 L/min on argon scale
  • Or just set the regulator to 15L/min and you will get an extra flow but with your 5L or 9L bottle you will not have to worry about running out of gas too quickly
