My doctor prescribed me Alprazolam as my first benzo: any experiences?

Last time, I wrote a post saying that my doctor prescribed me paroxetine for " social anxiety disorder ". Since then, I still haven't started the treatment because I'm afraid of the side effects.
The other day, I lied to him and said I had already started taking paroxetine and that I was feeling more anxious and having trouble sleeping. I asked if he could prescribe me a benzodiazepine ,like lorazepam or clonazepam, to deal with the initial side effects. In the end, he prescribed me Frontal (alprazolam), which is basically Xanax produced by a different pharmaceutical company (the same one that made the Pfizer vaccine, by the way).
Today, I went to pick up the prescription and bought my first box. The pharmacist looked at the prescription for about 10 minutes, then asked who the medication was for and told me I could only use the prescription three times.
I know I can still get two more boxes, but for now I'd rather save them "just in case" (CTB). Honestly, my anxiety isn't severe enough to take benzos regularly.

Has anyone here ever tried Frontal ( Xanax )? What effect did it have on you? Is it really stronger than other benzodiazepines?

I've been on it for over a decade. It helps a ton.
I wouldn't say it's stronger, all depends on the dose really, but it is faster acting than a lot of other ones.
idk what he meant about the only 3 times thing... Unless he just gave you 3 pills, which seems odd

I don't know how it works in other countries, but in Italy prescriptions of this kind are valid for one month and allow you to collect up to 3 packages.
