My cat died today

Today, my family cat Archie passed away. He was a special part of my life and had a very gentle soul. In the last few months, I think I realized he was getting old, so I started giving him extra attention and care. He loved being petted and would always start purring. In these past months, I feel like we bonded more than ever. Still, his sudden death has left me aching, and I will miss him dearly.

Also, thank you to everyone who helped me by answering my questions. Your support has meant a lot to me. Last week, I got my rope. I've been planning to do this for a long time, and I'm determined. Right now, my head hurts, and I feel terrible. Again, thank you for all the help. At least I'll be joining him soon.

I am sorry. My cat died last year. She came from the shelter, I remember year over year that our bond was stronger than last year. When she came fresh of the shelter she was so scared of everything. We sometimes couldn't find her because she was so tucked away in some corner.

I'm sorry for you loss, having the love close to unconditional from those little beings is something special. All they need to be happy is food and someone who gives them attention and care, so I'm sure he loved you those last few months must've been amazing to him. I have a 5yo cat and love her a lot, I have no idea how much I'll hurt once her cycle of live completes itself, but I'll know I've given her care.

Sorry about your pain and lost. Sounds like he was your soul mate. I lost my dog about five months ago. I've totally lost track of time. Every day I have cried and felt the pain missing her. Today was exceptionally hard as spring is started here. A time we used to love to spend walking and in the garden together. I feel so alone. She was all I had. I felt this way when my dog before her passed, but getting her as a puppy helped me to get over the grief and pain. I findvsome peace knowing they are togethervwaiting fir me. I cannot afford another pet and this won't change. I am looking forward to cbt and tto be with her again.

Man, I'm so sorry. I lost my favourite cat to kidney failure shortly before Christmas 2020 and I still occasionally tear up when I think about him, I just miss him so much. I understand how you feel. Do you want to post a picture of your cat?

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
