I'm planning to go out this Friday via the charcoal method in my car.

I did a trial run yesterday. Was able to get to 1000ppm in less than 10 minutes and my car is sealed enough that it was able to maintain at least 1000ppm for 3 hours. Also, now the days have gotten pretty cool outside, so don't really have to worry about the heat.

Gonna drive about 3 hours away to the middle of nowhere. Found some desolate offroad paths on Google Earth satellite (lol, hopefully those images are up to date and aren't somebody's driveway by now. That would be awkward). But I'll have some backup locations, so hopefully I'll have a decent spot.

I have 5 zopiclone pills left and I'll bring some wine to make passing out easier. I'm thinking of staying up the night before to ensure falling asleep is easier.

God forbid if I should wakeup, I'll have a noose (and even a stool!) for full suspension.

I think I have all my bases covered. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Are you sure 1000ppm is enough? I was just reading this thread and someone said you need 3000ppm to die within 30 minutes. Probably just takes longer at 1000ppm I guess.

You seem to be well prepared. You might be very dizzy for a physical attempt, have you considered something you can do lying down for back up?

Wish you peace, though I'm sad to see you go.

You really need to be certain that nobody will see your car and get curious. That is all it will take to intervene. Your car just being there will seem odd because its the middle of nowhere.

And thanks!

Barnacles. I don't think I'm going to do it Friday. My father is away on work and won't be back until Friday evening. I suppose the decent thing to do would be to say goodbye to him one last time.

I guess I'll have to do it on Saturday.

I've thought about doing the same thing.

Something that has had me hesitate, however, is speaking to a survivor of this method. They woke up in the morning and couldn't even walk. They had done it in their driveway and had to crawl into the house and then slept for three days.

So if it fails, being in a remote area will be difficult to come out of. It is unlikely one would be able to drive or do much at all, which means the only option is calling emergency services which then gives it all away and we have the whole psych ward business to deal with.

Not saying this to dissuade you, just so you can make sure to have your bases covered for all eventualities to consider.

I think we're thinking of the same dude. I messaged him because I too am scratching my head wondering what went wrong. He passed out and everything by the CO, so wtf. Hopefully he'll respond.

Personally I would use another CM method.

My body is truly, finally ready. No more bullshit-ass excuses. No more pipedreams. No more procrastination.

It seems silly, but I feel compelled to do it on my day off (next Friday). I'm debating whether I should just do it sometime during the week. I mean, I'm killing myself, why the fuck should I care about my work attendance?? Lol. I guess I'm thinking if I do end up failing and bitching out and having to come back, I'm not sure I would have the nerve to explain my absence to people at work ("Durr, I felt especially suicidal that day"). Crap, I really do hope I don't bitch out and everything goes through.

My mother's birthday is actually this Thursday. So maybe it's best it happens after that. I'll tell my fam I'm going hunting for the weekend, so I'll leave Friday morning and...hopefully never turn up again. So I'll have almost a two day buffer period before my absence is noticed.

I suppose I'm an asshole/prick for doing it so close to my mother's birthday, but I suppose choosing any other day wouldn't make me any less of a bastard. But I feel I can't wait any longer. And I REALLY don't want to wait around for my birthday later in November.

So it's settled. I still wish I had done it 10 years ago, but oh well.
My body is ready
