Damn, I had no idea Nickleback did a cover of that song. It's fuckin awesome! Before this, the only version I knew of was this (but fiddles weren't changed into guitars in it though):


Also, I wonder if the song inspired the rock battle with Satan in Tenacious D at all. Would have been awesome if that was the case.

I swear there was a version around 10 years ago... could be the one you posted. It's been a long time since I've heard it.
I was thinking it was a band similar to Disturbed but I can't remember anymore.

I was cheated on after 7 years, announced on Valentine's day, for real lol It took me a lot more to completely forget. Up to 10 after, had uncontrollable flashing emotions of devaluation, angst or sorrow, sometimes all at once. The irony... I wasn't even crazy in love to begin with, not objectively, mostly persuaded illusions ? She was not a right fit for me.

Very similar to early works of Dimmu Borgir and Emperor. I love the whole album, keeps me company while I'm doing boring routine tasks, like showering or cooking. Just today I realized that: this particular song is about suicide; it has English lyrics instead of Swedish or sth.
