Vincent Crane, the organist for Atomic Rooster, suffered from Bipolar Disorder and in 1968 was involuntarily committed to Banstead Hospital in Surrey, England.
I find this song very relatable because it is about feeling trapped and wanting out. I find the lyrics and the mood of the song very relatable. Crane died of a deliberate overdose of Anadin tablets in 1989 at age 45.
Another Atomic Rooster song & one of the saddest songs I've ever heard. Also, I love a flute solo.
Last one, this is a more tongue in cheek fun song. Also, I love the tap dance solo in the middle of it.
