This will probably be one of the few threads I participate in as music is everything to me. I listen to anything from singer/songwriter, metal, stonerrock, blues weird shit and a lot in between.

This is Dorthia Cottrell - Moth. She released this on a side album from her main band Windhand which I'd classify as more stoner/doom while her solo stuff (and this song in particular) as singer/songwriter and just plain beautiful. Considering the forum, I think this is a decent first video to share.

They say Dylan can't sing. These days I agree.
But once upon a time, Dylan was an amazing singer.
Just because somebody doesn't have a beautiful voice doesn't mean he can't sing imo.
There's something called Expression.

These two song were written while Dylan's marriage had gone super nova and he had retreated to his farm in Minnesota.
He got snowed in and wrote eleven of the greatest songs of his career.
Once he got back in New York, he was in such a hurry to record the songs, that he didn't even took the time to take his coat off.
You can actually hear the buttons of his coat hitting the guitar.

The album Blood On The Tracks was the result.
The problem was that, by the time the record was ready for release, Dylan and his wife had reconciled so he re-recorded many of the songs.
He hired a band, he watered down many lyrics and he changed the mood of the songs. It's still a great album but imo, the original is the masterpiece.

Tangled Up In Blue & Idiot Wind are probably the most famous songs of the album.
These are two minor songs but they're just as beautiful and heart breaking.

Dylan has rarely spoken about the album in interviews.
When an interviewer once told him it is viewed a masterpiece by both critics and fans, he only replied with, "I don't understand how people can enjoy that kind of pain."

I know a lot of local bands as my brother had a live music venue pub and i am part of a production team setting up our yearly local music event with 200 live local and emerging groups ,
Most of them aren't my kind of music but a friend who is lead singer of The Black Delta Movement had split with his girlfriend , i said to im you might start writing some good songs now as most good songs are about broken relationships , he laughed and said good point lol
