The guy behind the band committed suicide less than a month after this album was released. Seems like this was a goodbye of sorts for him.

Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) and Chris Cornell, just two good friends having a good time together on the scene. Myself, amongst others of you I presume, can relate to Linkin Park's lyrics, and maybe more specifically this song, called 'Crawling'.

Someone in the comment section on Youtube mentioned that this was all set up by Linking Park and Chris Cornell, without Chester's knowledge. They just decide to turn off Chester's microphone, and let Chris Cornell continue the song and enter the scene.
I think it's hilarious!

Chris Cornell commited suicide by partial hanging on the 18th of May 2017. Chester Bennington followed shortly after by hanging himself on the 20th of July 2017 (Chris Cornell's birthday).

Chester is/was my hero. You can hear the pain and beauty in his voice all the time. There's a video on YouTube its called Linkin Park Acoustic Compilation. It's just him singing some of their best songs. It's like 37 minutes of beautiful pain. I wish I had to courage to ctb in the same Manor he did but my way will have to work. Oh and Chris died in my hometown. RIP Chris Cornell and RIP Chester Bennington "Sings like an angel, screams like a demon, lived as a man, died as a legend."
