This happens to be one of my most favourite works of the last several years.

So much that I used part of the lyrics in my signature. The contents of the song concern one Quentin Crisp, a controversial British author who emigrated to the United States.

"Modesty, propriety, can lead to notoriety

Gentleness, sobriety
are rare in this society
At night a candle's brighter than the sun"

The last line in particular allowed me to hang on to some kind of hope, and still did before it got to this point.

I enjoy the light, weightless aspect of the music, but the lyrics are amazing. I think this song would provide more hope and comfort to me than an intentional motivational song; it's subtlety empowering, honest in its storytelling, beautiful in its execution.

Those are just my thoughts anyway, I appreciate you posting such a personal, important piece of work <3

This song was really comforting as well, very cathartic, it also made my cry, thank you for your constant song giving, it means a lot to me :,-) "loving you is all I knew" I love this line a lot <3

The latter is based on a greek myth about a sea god who falls in love with and relentlessly pursues a mortal woman of exceptional purity who is terrified of him. In the end, he succeeds in essentially raping her when she is transformed into a stream of water as a miscalculated evasive technique, and they meld in the seas. Symbolizes my relationship with death, or the eternal, maybe anyone can relate.

The former is just how I feel about myself.

Yung Lean - Agony


This song specifically I fell in love with because of how much I can understand and feel the meaning behind each line and also I love yung lean. I can translate to my own life because tbh the only thing keeping me here is one person. I find it hard to control my thoughts and seem to be losing it everyday wishing for an easy end but seem to be held back by this one being keeping me level. I am not okay when I'm alone but this song usually helps me realize all when I'm on the verge of losing my mind because it makes me face my reality. It seems so pure, the lyrics and the overall tone of the song which only makes it more meaningful. It's more about love for me, I live and exist for this person but say that goes away and I'm nothing, trapped in my own horrible mind which is the reality of me.

I don't listen to much Country music but I like some.

You're welcome. I don't listen to a lot of country music either. I usually just come across something I like on youtube.
This one reminds me of an ex gf. Found it a few years ago.
