Hello, lately I've been seeing a couple of interesting movies were the main topic was about suicide and euthanasia. I'd share them with you and I'd know if you all know more interesting movie about those topics. Please avoid posting "low quality" movies and those where the suicide and CTB is only a marginal topic.

Thank you for these titles, I look forward to watching these. The Virgin Suicides is a classic. The documentary of the Indian family who committed suicide House of Secrets is a good one as well.

I just watched it, a wonderful movie, I wish it was also easy in life, for example, it's also easy to buy these pills

There's an Australian series, pretty recent, called The End. It's not purely one sided, definitely does have some nuance. I enjoyed it, as it addresses important societal issues.

I just seen Christine (2016), about the journalist Christine Chubbuck that execute her suicide when she's on air on a news show. I really liked it and i think the main character actress Rebecca Hall do it very well. She appears to be full of ambitions, she want to leave the mark and she isn't willing to give up.

Spoiler: I would like to comment something I think it's important, but there are some -very light- spoilers...

One of the most interesting scenes is when, in a kind of group therapy, someone ask her why se do not try to lower her expectation about life. She says that she even understand the question. That sounds very interesting to me as someone already asked about "my hight aspiration and expectation".
Do you think that many of us can be suicidal because of this precise reason, or to have hight aspirations and don't want to accept a reality where there won't have place?

Others parts that leaved a sign on me have been the suffer she generated to the people loved her (her mom) and how other close people (her most close colleague) try to overcome her very quickly.

Have you seen it? What do you think about those topics I raised?

Suicide Room by Jan Komasa from 2011. It will maybe strange to watch for you because it's about group of people who regulary meet in cyberspace because they become suicidal at some point of their life and they help each other and discuss a method of CTB Something like this place but in online game. It is the only film work in my country that truly tried iniciate discussion about teenagers suicide and lonliness, lack of understanding betweeen them and their parents generation.

This!! If you want to watch it, I'd recommend reading the book first though. It is a really quick and easy read and brings its point across way more succinctly. The movie is still worth watching, they just added more content to it.

Also, there is Suicide Club by Sion Sono and Harakiri by Masaki Kobayashi.
