the past 2 weeks have been really rough and they keep making me take medicine i dont want at least i can say hi now though, so hello everyone nwn

edit: edit 2 clarify when i say "making me" i do not mean like, physically holding me down and forcing me!! i mean that whenever i refused medication the nurses report 2 my psych and he extends my stay :P
the only times i was forced 2 physically take anything was 2 weeks ago in the original hospital and i was given a sedating injection on 2 occasions that week u_u

I absolutely agree.

If a person came into a bad situation and was violent, screaming and shouting and a risk to themselves or others then perhaps a one off 'calm down' shot might be reasonable but it should (IMHO) need some very careful scrutiny in order to make sure its as safe from side effects and future complications. To go on to medicate a person in the assumption that you know better what they require (training and qualifications or not) is utterly disgusting and invasive. Don't forget that many of these meds come with huge side effects and it's mostly a suck it and see approach that's adopted as they will often admit that they actually don't quite know why certain meds work the way they do. It's so irresponsible and it's a very dangerous culture that stands behind this behavoir. It's also dangerous to the general public in that it spills over in the general medicine and is often prescribed to patients based on poor studies and compiled results. Often results are written to meet a quota or agenda and are far from unbiased. Requirments are met to avoid law breaking and its on the patient if there are repurcussions/side effects as the law is essentially loopholed in the favour of the prescribers. Antidepressants are dished out like sweets. More so in fact. They're worse than many recreational drugs when used long term.

i have individual therapy every evening, group is held every day also but not req. (though obv encouraged), psychiatrist checks in 3 times a week, therapeutic "activities" vary each day but are held 4 times daily :P no eta given for my return home, and yes im in the US uwu

i am nwn also added an edit 2 say that im not being physically forced, just coerced w my discharge being denied if i dont cooperate :p i was only chemically restrained twice, which are the only times anything was physically forced :p :3

"Only" physically forced?
That reads more like full-on assault…
We shouldn't regard such actions as acceptable or normal. If you'd requested it then it would be one thing, but pinning you down and injecting chemicals into your veins against your will is downright abominable on their end in my view.

You got your phone that's good at least, I've been through the same in a locked facility the first thing they took was my phone, they also fed me pills all day, I have no idea what I was taking, we didn't have access to the room since 9am to 10pm. Was the 2 longest 2 weeks of my life, sorry you are there, at least you can chat with us. Hope time goes quickly and somehow it makes you better despite the bad experience you having right now. A big hug, stay strong.

So it's more like coercion. Either way I think that is unethical.
