What is your favorite depressing song? I can't stop listening to Dirt by Alice in Chains. I like it but Jesus Christ its depressing.

Hey, great song! Depressing indeed, but that's part of its charm. For me, I think it would be "Last Chance", by Chptrs. I've been listening to it a lot lately because it perfectly reflects what's going on my mind and the stage of the depression I'm going through. Although some of you may find the lyrics quite "comforting" or somewhat hopeful, for me it's quite of the opposite, I read them as if the singer finally gave up on his problems and reached another place where they can be in no pain and more free, and the melody really helps to give me that feeling. It's quite a beautiful song, very different in style to yours, but in case you decided to give it a try, I hope you like it <3

It can be both happy and sad ig. I dont really get it to be honest. There's many ways to interpret the song.
I tried looking up the meaning but everyone comes up with whatever.

I dont even think it was meant to be depressing, the person who wrote it was 14 years old at the time. I read that they were trying to make it sound stupid and ironic.
