More information on why methods are unreliable than information on methods that are reliable

That's just how I see it personally. It just fucking sucks, I can't find a method anywhere. Is there any method I can try that is actually reliable? Yes I checked the resource compilation but every time I do my research it's simply unreliable and I don't know what to do. How the fuck is it so hard to die. I need a way out please. I'm this close to forming a ctb pact with someone, or simply getting someone online to kill me. I'm just so desperate. I can't handle this anymore. My life is actually over and it was over to begin with. I have some money I could probably get something online that can kill me, will that work? I need advice please!

Well the problem is a lot of reporting on more niche suicide methods is based on anecdotes and not hard data. That being said there is publicly available studies about the success rates of more popular methods. There's a good chart on this wikipedia page that shows the likelihood of success and also the overall prevalence of a couple popular methods: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_methods.

Ultimately every method carries the risk of failure. You're going to have to choose for yourself what method you want that balances the factors of accessibility, peacefulness, and reliability in a way you're comfortable with. I can make the personal recommendation of CO for a cheap and painless method that's fairly reliable should you execute it correctly. It does take quite a bit of setup and for it to be fully reliable you'll have to purchase an expensive CO analyzer. Do some research about this method I think it may just fit what you're looking for. Also don't go searching online for someone to kill you, that is an easy way to get caught by law enforcement.

Ropes, shotguns, opiates, sodium nitrite...
I'm convinced that it's mechanically simple. At least in my frame of mind, if I'm not mentally capable of putting a rope around my neck and jump off a bridge, I'm simply not quite ready to die.

Sodium nitrite - very fatal, most failures occur from medical intervention/not following protocol (ie human error not the method)
Hanging - Worldwide one of the most common suicide methods
Gun - Largest suicide method in the US with an incredibly high mortality rate (90%)
