I'm tired of middle class and up people minimazing the importance of money. It's EXTREMELY important and i'm absolutely certain that if i was rich 95% of my problems would vanish.
You always hear a lot about racism, there are a lot of activism around it. Same for homophobia etc... But imo i think poverty is far far worse. It's the real deal. Racism is a joke compared to poverty. I feel like rich people successfully gaslighted the whole society into believing that money is not that important, and if you're poor it's YOUR fault alone.
Imagine you're poor, can't afford housing, forced to live with people you don't like in a dangerous guetto, and else it's the street. You're vulnerable to everyone because you have no money and therfore no power, you are at the mercy of people who have money. You can't be healthy because it requires a good diet and you can't afford it. Can't affort clothes. Having to constantly live in discomfort, can't even cope with entertainment because things like video games also costs money.
The only reason why homeless people aren't ctb is because they are constantly on drugs or alcohol. If they weren't i guarantee you they'd all off themselves right the fuck away.

Money is definitely important however it's nothing powerful enough to avoid wanting to CTB. Money can be used to throw it at the problem but it will never fix it.

I'd like to think I'm pretty well off and money has lost a lot of its value to me. Sure I can realistically buy whatever I really want but I don't want anything so essentially I have a lot of something I seldom use.

Guess it helps that I can purchase methods and buy alcohol but outside of that I could care less. I will say if you have a family having money is incredibly important as, yes, everyone 100% needs it but excessive amounts seems meaningless to me.

Can't wait to give what I have to trans youth when I CTB, I really hope it can help someone.

I so 100% agree with you. Having the 1% having 95% of everything and the 95% having 1% is bull crap and just that aspect alone will make sure that we do not evolve.

Reading about the writers and actors strike here in the U.S. and how CEO's who are in the 20 plus MILLION-dollar range and bemoaning the aspect of the strike. Gee, if I was making over $12,000 PER HOUR! and gripping about others trying to make a living, REALLY?!?

I still work at the age of 67 to pay for very expensive health insurance and I always have to shake my head in disbelief how a few can be so greedy, self-centered and overall huge jerks.

You are truly a very intelligent person and lots of love and hugs to you, my good friend.

Yes and what angers me the most is when rich online celebrities (like rich american streamers) complain about their life and act as if they have it worse than people who can't even afford food. And THEN, you see their community feeling so sorry and bad for them.
I don't say that these rich people can't feel depressed, but this silly situation makes no sense to me, where the poor nobodies feel sorry for the rich guy who doesn't give a fuck about them, who doesn't even know they exist and probably doesn't even consider extremely poor people like homeless persons humans.
I'm not a communist because it never worked and it leads to everyone being poor imo. What i'm for is technocracy until ressources management can be suffisently automated enough to have a universal basic income.
I'm not asking for everyone to be rich, it's unrealistic. But i think everyone deserves basic comfort. Meaning healthy food, a house, some entertainment, clothes, heating/air conditioning.

Yes maybe for you but for the majority of people, money alone can make life worth it and enjoyable even.
Of course if you have heavy disability or major mental illness money won't fix it.

I agree 100%. Maybe I would still be suicidal but it would be sooooo much easier.
I am currently 27 and unemployed. I have deep fear from people, I dissociate in the public and unfortunately home office is only available for really smart people in my country. I feel sick just going to the store and I live in a small village so I would need to travel minimum 2 hours daily to get to work. Everybody does this in this place and they all look like zombies.
I am living with my mother (my other toxic relatives are also living near me). I have 3 t-shirts and 2 pants. That's all. Of course my mother works so I can eat all I want and stuff like that but I am a huge fucking burden. I try to do all the house work, I clean and mowe the lawn etc but... Like fuck, I am a 27 old female and it's all so wrong. But I am tired of trying. I just want to die.

Just an opinion on the internet. Don't see what was insensitive about it.

Money can 100% make life worth it if you're life isn't worth it because of money.

True, i depend on so many things that were bought with money, that i cannot even imagine how hard life must be for homeless people, i would 100 percent die if i had to spent every single moment fighting for basic stuff like food and shelter.

Money won't fix my problems. I'm already in the top 5% or so, so not ultrarich, but I can buy anything within reason. There's nothing I want. Even with 1000X more money I couldn't buy a peaceful death, because there's nobody to buy it from. I'd be willing to donate to mental health research but who knows if it would ever pay off.

Money is poison. Money only brings problems. Human greed is their most powerful weapon to erase everything. All bad things come from wanting money having money not having it. The problem is not money its just a stupid paper, its people and the fucking use importance they give to it.

The rich man tells the poor man that money is not important, while he himself uses the money as much as he can.

Yes, money is important. But it needs to be next level rich to solve this level problems. A few percent richer won't change much. Knowing someone who can solve your problems is a kind of rich.

I agree with you money is important. I don't have too many of them however my reason for CTB is the human factor. but you are right if I had money I could occupy my head with leisure activities like traveling the world rather than wallowing in self-pity now. Life has never been and will never be fair on this subject.

Hard agree. As someone who is disabled and can't work it really makes life frustrating. Adds to the feeling of having no control over my own life. If I'm unable to work it feels like I have no worth in this life.

Money is really important. Without you can do nothing. Money could save my life, so I play the lottery 4 times a week. I live with only the slim hope of winning maybe just $300,000. It could fix my problems and buy a house. Find and better job and maybe find a girlfriend. I have a fairly large circle of friends, some relationships probably need to be repaired, as I have pushed them away in recent years. Learned how to deal with narcissists after waking up from my brainwashing that my father probably unknowingly exposed me to in childhood. Unfortunately, I have screwed up, as I have had the worst conditions in this life, and have allowed myself to be taken advantage of by narcissists. There is no need to try to talk to them about the problems. They only think about money. (Yes, I obviously do too). But only to correct the damage I have caused. Yes, got a little "help" for that. If only I had a good chunk of money, I could get my life back. Yes, it has cost some years of life. Fuck it. For the last 3 years, people have voluntarily shortened their lives. People in the know know what I'm talking about. A capital injection will maybe give my life back. Otherwise, I'll probably take my life this fall. Have had to manipulate people to stay alive. It can't go on like this.

May luck be with me. And hope the best for the rest of you

Isn't it gross how important it is for something that is paper with imaginary value attached to it? And if you don't have any or enough, you're condemned to a life of suffering until you die a painful death. It's absolutely ridiculous. And needlessly cruel

This exactly. The only reason I'm in this situation is because of this parasitic capitalist system. I can't study what I want or do what I want in life because there's no money in it compared to what my parents are forcing me to study, and I can't go to college and switch majors without my parents cutting me off and forcing me into some lifetime financial catastrophe. It's alright. Less labor for the machine, I suppose.

The most embarrassing truth is that you can't get out of this because you only work to survive - pay rent, food and you will never have the money to go to Harvard and get out of poverty by climbing even one level higher. I don't live badly, but all my money is spent on expensive apartment rent, expensive cosmetics, beauty salons, and I can't even get a loan to buy an apartment. Money is the most important thing in life and those who are unfortunate enough to be born into poverty most likely have little chance of getting out of this crap
